We are trying to build fast, but thoughtfully. We're know Nima has to be reliable, trustworthy, and yes, discreet. It needs to be something you can easily carry about and that works quickly. It's even better when Nima connects to app so you can track and share test results. We've been growing our team here to help us accomplish these goals. Here are some (but not all!) of the folks who have joined in the past few months.
Hardware
Joe Horrell, Engineering Program Manager
Joe comes to us directly from Synapse, where he worked for over five years. He was at Corning immediately prior to this. Joe is a graduate of Dartmouth with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management. He's already taken a deep dive into spreadsheets, documentation, along with some hands on work to help with mechanical engineering projects.
Dane Weitmann, Mechanical Engineer
He was at Synapse for about six years starting as an intern and working his way to Mechanical Engineer. Dane is a graduate of University of Washington with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He has been hard at work looking at different ways to make certain parts of the product function even more smoothly than we imagined. He also has an awesome dog, Duke, that has graced the offices in recent weeks.
Firmware/Software
Jacob McNamee, Firmware
He comes to us from a company we love, Bia, where he developed embedded systems. He's worked for Atieva, Q-Track, and was a graduate TA at Georgia Tech. He has both a BSEE, Electrical Engineering and MSECE, Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Jacob has been helping the team with our firmware and working with the software team on Bluetooth integration.
Ryan Brignoni, Lead iOS Developer
Ryan comes to us directly from consulting, but has worked on application development at a variety of companies including CrowdTilt, Stella & Dot, Overstock.com, iMirus, Upsellit, and Highpoint. He's instantly gone to work helping to think strategically about what our app will deliver and begun building it. He also builds games on the side -- so you stop by and find us fighting over bubbles.
We have three more hires that we'll profile in the next blog post -- so stay tuned!
