6SensorLabs is developing breakthrough consumer products to transforms the lives of people with food allergies. Our first product is a portable sensor for consumers with gluten allergies, allowing them to test their food for gluten anywhere, at any time. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is passionate about the mission of our company, and thrives with the demands of an early stage startup. Our team was born out of MIT and is backed by Silicon Valley’s premiere Hardware Incubator, Lemnos Labs. This position offers the opportunity to lead the electronic development of our highly innovative consumer health product, and be surrounded by top advisors and mentors in San Francisco.

Job duties could include:

  • executing working prototypes
  • circuit & schematic design
  • PCB layout and design
  • firmware development
  • sourcing or design of low-power sensors
  • motor control
  • mobile connectivity (BLE)
  • transfer to manufacturing

Details:

  • Location: Lemnos Labs offices in San Francisco
  • Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Preferred: 1-3 years work experience designing full circuits that have gone through a full production cycle and successfully shipped. Past experience using and designing optics or optical/photo sensors.
  • Compensation: $80k-$100k (depending on the skill set/experience), + equity package + the satisfaction of working on products that could save people's lives.
