And we need you. Your experience, your expertise, and your passion for building beautiful, simple, functional products and for helping people. We are looking for an experienced product design engineer who can bring years of expertise to lead our product through development.
We would expect you to:
- Integrate with Industrial Design to finalize product design approach, integrate mechanical design with ID, and lead prototyping process
- Design mechanical components of the product or lead the development of the design through outsourced partners
- Maintain product development schedules, and conduct rapid feasibility studies to direct design for delivery on-time, to spec, and under budget
- Develop high-quality looks like and works like prototypes and run feasibility tests
- Lead product from concept to manufacturing. Support product phase builds from EVT, DVT, PVT, and qualify first articles off the line
Key Qualifications
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience designing consumer oriented products from concept to manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and experience with Design for Manufacturing of plastic molded parts
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers
- International development experience preferred
